THE BRIEF:

The orange soft drink brand wanted to highlight their long association with Hong Kong. In addition, their internal research showed that those who grew up in the city are nostalgic about oranges. Those surveyed collectively recall days where grandmothers sliced them up for kids to eat after school. Sunkist wanted us to amplify that nostalgia, in effect highlighting the brand as an intrinsic aspect of the city.

 

THE RESULT:

In a bid to evoke everyone’s collective memory, we conjured up items from the past in a wide variety of genres that would serve as a city time capsule. These included food items, trends, celebrity pictures, locales and more. A story-line was then created, utilizing stop-start animation. Of course, oranges and Sunkist became a key focal point, creating an association they were thrilled with.
